With just 70 students when it was founded in 1898, DePaul University has grown to become the nation’s largest Catholic university. DePaul, named for St. Vincent de Paul, has maintained its commitment to serve students who might otherwise be denied a quality education, from turn-of-the-century women and returning veterans to first-generation, low-income city residents.
