The Opportunity

UMBC is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as the Vice President for Institutional Advancement (VP). This critical leadership role offers a unique opportunity to shape and drive the strategic vision of the Office of Institutional Advancement, influencing the future of UMBC through impactful fundraising, alumni engagement, and innovative operational excellence.

Reporting directly to the UMBC President, the VP will develop and execute strategies to enhance the advancement enterprise, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture. As a member of the President’s senior leadership team, the VP will enhance UMBC’s reputation through sophisticated marketing strategies, expand the University’s research portfolio, and support athletic programs through targeted fundraising efforts.

This role requires a leader with a proven track record of success in fundraising and campaigns who possesses exemplary interpersonal and managerial leadership skills with experience addressing organizational change. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, innovative thinking, a dedication to excellence, and a desire to make a significant impact.
