The National Consumer Law Center partnered with Lindauer to find a Chief Publishing Officer who will expand access to and engagement with NCLC publications—which are essential resources for today’s consumer advocates.
Attorney and publishing professional Tatia Gordon-Troy has joined the National Consumer Law Center (NCLC) as its Chief Publishing Officer, overseeing the organization’s 21 printed legal treatises, Digital Library, and extensive catalog of consumer law materials.
“Tatia brings an extraordinary combination of legal publishing talent and management expertise to NCLC’s publications team,” said Richard Dubois, executive director of NCLC. “Our Digital Library provides unparalleled resources for lawyers in every area of consumer law, and I’m excited by Tatia’s interest in expanding the reach and influence of these materials to help more people achieve economic justice.”
Gordon-Troy was previously director of publications at the American Immigrations Lawyers Association, where she grew the publications repertoire by more than 500% and led the migration of the association’s publications onto a digital research platform. Most recently, she was founder and CEO of Ramses House Publishing, producing and marketing books and periodicals for law firms and associations.
At NCLC, Gordon-Troy succeeds Jon Sheldon, an attorney with NCLC since 1976, who developed and oversaw NCLC’s publishing operation for several decades. Sheldon will remain with the Center as a senior attorney and continue contributing to library materials.
“I was drawn to NCLC by the stellar reputation of its authoritative publications and its unwavering commitment to racial justice and economic fairness,”said Gordon-Troy. “I’m excited to work with NCLC’s skilled publishing team to produce and distribute publications that illuminate a path toward economic equity.”
Earlier in her legal career, Gordon-Troy held roles as a junior associate with a boutique firm in downtown Baltimore, press secretary to the late Congressman Elijah E. Cummings, and legal reporter and editor for The Daily Record, a legal and business newspaper based in Baltimore. She is a graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law and Morgan State University.
Tatia Gordon-Troy was appointed in January 2025. The search was led by Lindauer Assistant Vice President Terri Rutter.
