Executive Director of Development

Xavier Ochsner College of Medicine
Onsite New Orleans , Louisiana

As the nation’s only Catholic historically black college and university (HBCU), Xavier has a long history of pioneering thought leadership. Born into one of America’s wealthiest families, Saint Katharine Drexel defied both state laws and Vatican policy in 1915 to found Xavier University Preparatory School. Her pursuit of racial justice laid the foundation for the University we know today, a mission-driven institution committed to preparing its students to contribute to the promotion of a more just and humane society as leaders and servants of the world.

When Dr. Alton Ochsner and four other physicians opened New Orleans’ first group practice with multiple specialties in 1942, their purpose was clear: to provide their communities with the highest quality, personalized medical care. Today, as Ochsner Health — Louisiana’s leading, highest rated health system — that vision lives on. As the largest physician-led, clinically integrated network in the Gulf South, the Ochsner Health Network reaches 1.5 million patients in 30 hospital locations spanning 50 parishes and counties.
