The Opportunity

Columbus Academy is seeking an accomplished and visionary Assistant Head of School for Development to lead its development and external relations program. This key leadership role involves overseeing all aspects of the school’s fundraising activities, including annual giving, major gifts, planned giving programs, and the organization of a significant upcoming capital campaign.

Reporting directly to Head of School Melissa Soderberg, the Assistant Head of School will work closely with the development team, Board of Trustees, parents, alumni, and other stakeholders to create and implement sustainable fundraising strategies that support the school’s mission and strategic goals.

The ideal candidate will be a proven fundraising professional with extensive experience in educational settings. They will be practiced at building relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and possess strong leadership and team-building skills.
