The Opportunity

Santa Clara University is seeking an accomplished and collaborative fundraising leader to serve as Assistant Vice President for Individual Giving (AVP). The AVP will join SCU at an exciting moment, as the University has just concluded its ambitious $1 billion campaign, Innovating With A Mission, and is setting its sights on new milestones. This position offers an opportunity to lead an impactful, high-performing fundraising program within a world-class institution.

Providing strategic leadership of the Individual Giving team, the AVP will manage five direct reports, including leaders of major giving, parent giving, and academic partnerships. Reporting to the Senior Associate Vice President for Principal Gifts and Development, the AVP will be instrumental in strengthening the University’s fundraising efforts during a transformative period of growth.

The AVP will collaborate with senior leadership and work closely with schools, colleges, and centers to meet the University’s strategic goals. The successful candidate will bring a strong track record of progressive frontline fundraising experience, a talent for developing strategy in higher education, and excellent people management skills.

The salary range for this position is $164,200–$229,900 commensurate with experience.
