St. Benedict’s Preparatory School, founded by the Benedictine Monks in 1868, has a rich history of educating and empowering students from diverse backgrounds. Over its 156-year history, the school has evolved from serving the children of German and Irish immigrants to embracing a multi-ethnic student body that reflects a broad range of socioeconomic and faith backgrounds.
The school’s emphasis on community, student leadership, mental and emotional wellness, and experiential education has situated St. Benedict’s as a national model of education. Today, St. Benedict’s serves nearly 1,000 students, primarily of African American and Latino heritage, in K–12, offering elementary, middle, and single-sex boys and girls prep divisions.
The Opportunity
St. Benedict’s is seeking a Principal Gifts Officer (PGO) to qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward high-potential donors capable of making transformational seven-figure gifts.
Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, the PGO will manage a portfolio of approximately 75 prospects and help advance relationships with donors whose support will be critical to the school’s long-term success.
This role is vital to the success of the For All Time campaign and the school’s ability to continue serving future generations of students. The successful candidate will not only contribute to a growing campaign but will play an integral part in sustaining a school that has been a beacon of hope and opportunity for over 150 years.
This is an extraordinary opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to join a dedicated team at a pivotal moment in St. Benedict’s history.
