AUP partnered with Lindauer in the search for this inaugural position, which will play a central role supporting AUP’s ambitious goals for the future.
American University of Paris has announced the arrival of Courtney Stombock as the University’s Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations. Stombock joins AUP from Emory University Law School, where she has served in the role of Associate Dean of Advancement and Alumni Engagement since 2017.
With the inauguration of President Sonya Stephens in 2022, AUP is poised to expand its academic reputation, while deepening its commitment to the student experience.
Stombock will work closely with President Stephens, the Board of Trustees, faculty, and staff to develop a strategic fundraising program that vaults AUP into a new chapter of transformative, life-changing educational experiences in Europe.
Stombock’s vision for her new role with AUP is shaped by her professional background as well as her experience as a first-generation college graduate.
“I would like to see alumni and affiliates connecting with AUP in a way that enhances their own lives—no matter what stage they’re in—and also helps support the student experience and meet the goals of the institution,” said Stombock.
Courtney Stombock was appointed in September 2023. The search was led by Lindauer Vice President Carmel Napolitano.
