Lindauer and Care New England partnered to bolster the system’s standing as a leader in healthcare with the placement of seasoned fundraising executive Jeffrey Cabral in the role of Chief Philanthropy Officer.
Care New England has announced the appointment of Jeffrey Cabral as Chief Philanthropy Officer.
With over fifteen years of experience, Cabral brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role as a visionary strategist dedicated to advancing healthcare and positively impacting the well-being of Rhode Island’s patient communities.
A native of Rhode Island, Cabral will be instrumental in transforming Care New England’s development program and fostering a thriving philanthropic culture. He will spearhead the design and execution of a comprehensive fundraising plan, including the establishment of a grateful patient program and a robust annual giving initiative to support system-wide priorities. Cabral’s responsibilities will also involve mentoring and motivating development staff to ensure their professional growth and contribute to the success of the Care New England system.
Prior to joining Care New England, Cabral served as Vice President of Development at the University of Rhode Island Foundation, where he led a comprehensive $300 million campaign and provided strategic guidance to development officers across various sectors. His leadership was instrumental in cultivating principal gift-level donations and implementing successful fundraising strategies campus-wide.
Cabral’s experience also includes serving as the Senior Director of Development for the New York Program & Brown Arts Initiative at Brown University, where he directed fundraising efforts and managed a $256 million arts fundraising campaign. His collaborative approach and strategic vision were pivotal in securing major gifts and fostering philanthropic support for the university.
A graduate of Rhode Island College and Wayne State University, Jeffrey holds degrees in Dance and Fine Arts in Theatre Management, respectively.
