Boston Medical Center (BMC), the largest essential hospital in New England, has appointed Susie Posner-Jones as Vice President and Chief Development Officer to lead donor engagement as BMC advances its leadership in health equity, research, and clinical innovation.

Posner-Jones has more than two decades of experience in development leadership positions, spanning education, human services, healthcare, and philanthropy. She was previously the Chief Development Officer at Cambridge Health Alliance.

“Susie Posner-Jones brings an exemplary record of success in donor engagement, along with a dedication throughout her career to promoting health equity and addressing social determinants of health,” said BMC President Anthony Hollenberg. “She will elevate BMC’s nationally recognized care by deepening donor relationships and executing innovative fundraising strategies to support the expansion of patient services and hospital infrastructure.”

Before becoming the Chief Development Officer at Cambridge Health Alliance, Posner-Jones served as the network director of philanthropy and population health at the University of Vermont Health Network. She also worked at the Champlain Housing Trust, a nonprofit organization in Vermont that tackled issues like the impact of housing insecurity on health.

“I’m honored to join BMC and support its mission as an equity-led academic medical center, reimagining how we deliver healthcare to our communities,” Posner-Jones said. “I’m also excited to work with our philanthropic partners and board, who make BMC’s innovative work and commitment to equity possible through their generosity.”

Posner-Jones has a degree in psychology from Northern Vermont University and a master’s degree in healthcare administration, with a focus on population health management, from Champlain College.

Susie Posner-Jones was appointed in June 2024. The search was led by Lindauer Assistant Vice President Terri Rutter and Senior Consultant Elsa Gomes Bondlow.
