The Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts, a catalyst for positive change, engages partners, raises a flexible endowment, and leverages resources to solve problems and contribute to the common good. Working across three counties (urban and rural), the Foundation harnesses the energy of its stakeholders to realize its mission of shared prosperity, social equity, and cultural richness. The Foundation seeks to enrich the quality of life of the people by encouraging philanthropy; assessing and responding to emerging and changing needs; serving as a resource and coordinator for charitable activities, and promoting efficiency in the management of charitable funds. The Foundation advances equity, diversity, and inclusion throughout the region’s three counties, including its workplaces and institutions, by prioritizing racial equity in all facets of its work.
