Associate Dean and Executive Director of Development, Cornell SC Johnson College of Business

Cornell University
Ithaca, New York

A leading privately endowed research university, Cornell University is unique in its stature as the only Ivy League institution with a land grant mission.

On January 28, 2017, H. Fisk Johnson and SC Johnson committed $150 million to Cornell’s College of Business. This gift was the largest single gift to the school’s Ithaca campus and is the second largest gift to name a business school in the U.S. In recognition of this historic gift and the Johnson family’s extraordinary, multigenerational legacy of leadership and philanthropy to Cornell, the university has renamed the college the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business.

This gift came just one year after the January 2016 announcement that Cornell would bring together its three accredited business programs — the School of Hotel Administration, the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, and the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management — to form a comprehensive college of business. The integration of these three major business schools makes the newly formed Cornell SC Johnson College of Business the third largest business school in the country, one with robust fundraising capabilities and a dedicated, loyal and passionate alumni base. The College will enable the expansion of Cornell’s domestic and global programmatic initiatives, including further development and diversification of programs at Cornell Tech, with a current campus in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood and an upcoming Roosevelt Island location.
