Located minutes from Connecticut’s south coast beaches and shoreline and only 90 minutes from New York City, the University of New Haven is a private, coeducational university situated on an 82 acre campus. Founded in 1920, the college enrolls a diverse and vibrant student body of 6,800 in its 100 academic programs. The schools of arts and sciences, business, engineering, and fine arts have undergraduate and masters programs and the criminal justice program has a doctoral program as well. The school has been ranked as a top tier comprehensive university in the North by U.S. News & World Reports and it participates in Division II/Northeast-10 athletics. This is an exciting time for the university as it has seen a 34% increase in admissions and the addition of 20 academic programs in the past five years. Since 2016, the school has raised $76 million toward its $100 million Charger Challenge campaign.
